Children at the ages of 5-12 may participate in our unique equestrian summer camp program. In 2010
we will be offering six 1-week camps. They will be an opportunity for children with or without disabilities to join together
to learn about horses and one another in a fun and supportive environment.
NCTRC enrolls a minimum of 4 campers and a maximum of 16 participants per camp.
Campers are given a riding lesson each morning by a NARHA-certified instructor in groups of four or less. Trained
volunteers assist as horse leaders or sidewalkers when necessary. Riders will learn riding skills in addition to cowboy
games and trail riding skills. Activities in the afternoons include horse bathing (always a favorite!), grooming,
feeding the herd at lunch, and vaulting.
