ROBIN BAREFOOT As gift planning advisor to the Triangle Community Foundation, Robin Barefoot serves the
legal, accounting, tax and financial communities as liaison to the foundation. She has practiced law in Durham since 1996,
most recently with the Stubbs Cole firm. She served as staff attorney with Investors Title Insurance Company in their Chapel
Hill office from 1989 to 1996. Robin received her undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1980 and her law degree
cum laude in 1985 from NCCU School of Law. She was admitted to practice in 1985. In addition to serving as a board member
for NCTRC, she is a charter member of the Durham Speaker’s Bureau of the Food Bank CENC. She volunteers regularly
through the Durham Rescue Mission, Meals on Wheels and is very active in ministry through Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church
in Bahama, NC.
IAN BUCHANAN Ian is responsible for all operational aspects of oncology care at UNC
HealthCare and affiliated clinics. Prior to his present position, Ian developed expertise in health and wellness management
and performance improvement in this roles with OptumHealth, and UNC Hospitals. A graduate of Davidson College with a Bachelor's
of Science in biology, Ian also received his medical degree from the UNC School of Medicine and a masters degree in public
health and health care administration/quality from UNC. Ian was recommended for the board by a NCTRC volunteer. His horse
experience includes a summer as a mounted deputy marshall at Tweetsie Railroad during college. Ian has already given us much
to think about: the
potential synergies with and through UNC Lineberger Cancer Center.
 LARA KATZ Lara has been with Velocity Express for six years, currently
as part of a group that supports the Executive Management team. She is involved in managing field financial operations. Lara
holds a Bacahelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an MBA from
Elon University. She plans to pursue a real estate license. She has ridden horses for over 25 years, and has competed in several
horse--related shows including hunters, jumpers, intecollegiate, dressage, and for one scary day, evening. Lara has three
horses, and is passionate about sharing the "horse experience" with those less fortunate. Because she was too young
to drive and couldn't get to NCTRC, she recruited a volunteer. She has volunteered with NCTRC for 17 years, as an instructor,
horse show manager, siderwalker, leader, and now as a chair to the 2010 Board of Directors. She has also volunteered with
NARHA as state and region representative.

LAURIE REDDICK The success of the UNC recreational
therapy program which Laurie directs owes in great part to her creative and persistant approach to the program's budget. She
implements a diverse strategy of fundraising, grant writing and marketing services in order to sustain and grow the menu of
rehabilitative therapies. Laurie was recommended to the board by an NCTRC volunteer. Laurie has already given us much to think
about: integration of recreational therapies.
 FRANCES "FRANKIE" PRICE STERN Frankie brings a wealth of nonprofit board experience and financial oversight to NCTRC
from her years of board service at Planned Parenthood, as well as from her role as national consulant with the Unitarian Universalist
Church. She worked for many years with IBM Corp in key roles during its creation, marketing and sales of the earliest personal
computers. Her appreciation of our mission derives all she has learned in her relationship with a nephew with autism. Frankie
was recommended for the board by an NCTRC volunteer. She has already given us much to think about: the implementation of the Carver Policy Governance Model for board
conduct.
EVELYN CHOJNACKI Evelyn has over three years in her present position as account manager with BCBSNC, and also has nonprofit
experience. She earned a bachelors of art and bachelors of science degree from Marshall University in healthcare management
and later a masters in public health education from UNC-Greensboro. Evelyn was raised on a small family farm in West Virginia
and spent the majority of her childhood riding and training horses. Evelyn came to our board through BoardConnect. Evelyn
has already given us much to think about: horse
care, farm management and diverse populations.
JEFF ABBOOD has
spent the last three years in a variety of roles at Credit Suisse, most recently as a project manager for the firms derivatives
operations. He is also a volunteer coordinator for Credit Suisse and has experience in organizing and driving fundraising
and related events. He received a B.S. in Political Science and a B.S. in Economics from Florida State University, and well
as a Masters of Economics from North Carolina State University.
JIM GRAY is a graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at
the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a U.S. Navy veteran. He has lived in Wilkes County most of his life with
a career in retail furniture and sales and management in interior design. His “golf” over the past 30 years has
been in community service. He has served on and chaired numerous boards including the local American Red
Cross board, the Hospice Board, the Rainbow Center. He served as senior and junior warden and treasurer for his church, and
was chairman of Old Wilkes, Inc. during the fundraising for, and renovation and conversion of the 1904 Wilkes County courthouse
building into the Wilkes Heritage Museum. He continues to be actively involved as president of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Kiwanis
Club and as volunteer consultant through SCORE. Currently living in Durham with his wife, he runs, J Design, LLC, an interior
design firm and is a real estate broker.
